Jeju Island Tour

Transfer to Gimpo Airport on your own and board your flight for Jeju. Upon arrival Jeju Island, meet by local representative and transfer to hotel.  Rest of the day at your leisure.

After breakfast, your will be picked up at the lobby entrance of your hotel. Begin your tour at Hallim Park where it consists of botanical gardens, lava caves and a folk village.  Take some time at Hyeongje Haean-ro Seaside Street between Mt. Songaksan & Mt. Sanbangsan visiting the spectacular volcanic rock formations of Jusangjeolli Cliff.  Then visit Cheonjeyeon Falls, composed of a three-staircase falls. The first fall boasts a pond that is 22m in length and 21m in depth whose waters flow downwards to create the second and third falls. The area surrounding Cheonjeyeon Waterfall is home to the many botanical plants, such as White Fern, Elaeocarpus and Tenril plants. Finally visit the “Mysterious Road” where objects and liquid appear to roll and flow uphill; an image of gravity defiance which is in fact an optical illusion by the high surroundings. After the tour, transfer back to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Enjoy breakfast and be ready for a day of Jeju culture.  First visit the Jeju Folklore & National History Museum where natural historical items, marine life, soil and rocks are on display.  At the museum, learn about the lifestyle of Jeju such as traditional housing architecture, rites of passage, and regional food specialties. Next, visit the Jeju Stone Park, which was inspired by Jeju’s ancient myth of Seolmundae Halmang (Grandmother Seolmundae) who created the Island and the stones of Obaek Janggun (the Five Hundred Generals). Continue to visit Seongeup Folk Village which is located at the foot of Mt. Halla and is a small town that holds a vast amount of culture.  Located on the eastern end of Jeju is the Seongsan Ilchulbong Sunrise Peak, which rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago. Enjoy a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Asset, a Haenyeo diver show and watch female divers collect, seafood, shellfish and seaweed underwater without using any diving equipment. (*Haenyeo Museum is the alternative tour course on a rainy day) Then drive to Hamdeok Beach which is famous for its clean and shallow emerald-blue water, an arched bridge over black basalt and a red lighthouse.  After the tour ends, transfer to Jeju International Airport for your flight to Gimpo Airport.
