    Day 1: Istanbul

    Meet at the Istanbul Airport by one of our representatives and transfer to your hotel.

    Day 2: Istanbul (B)

    After breakfast, enjoy a half day visit to the Bosphorus:   Drive to the port to embark and start our cruise along the Bosphorus, the strait that separates two continents and joins the Black Sea to the Marmara Sea. From the boat we can enjoy the view of Dolmabahce Palace and its remarkable baroque Mosque, the bohemian neighborhood of Ortakoy, Rumeli and Anatolia Fortresses, Beylerbeyi Palace, the typical wooden houses along the shores of the Bosphorus called “yali” and many more to explore by sea. Upon disembarkation, we will continue to the Spice Bazaar, one of the oldest markets in Istanbul. You will have free time to explore the colors and smells of the bazaar and taste the spices, sweets or dried fruits. The tour ends here and you will enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.

    Day 3: Istanbul (B)

    After breakfast, enjoy a morning tour of the Golden Horn.  Start with Pierre Loti Cafe where we can enjoy the view of the Golden Horn. Free time to enjoy the view and have a tea or coffee overlooking the city. Continue to the Patriarchal Church of St. George, the fifth church of Constantinople and the seat of the Greek Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarchate since 15th century. On our way, we will drive by the historical and impenetrable walls of Constantinople which extend for 5 miles from the Marmara Sea to the shores of the Golden Horn. Next, we will visit Suleymaniye; the mosque of Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent, considered the most beautiful of the imperial mosques of Istanbul.  Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.

    Day 4: Istanbul - Cappadocia (B/D)

    Breakfast at hotel and enjoy your morning at leisure. After check out from hotel, transfer to airport for flight to Cappadocia. Upon arrival, meet by representative and transfer to hotel. Enjoy dinner at hotel.

    Day 5: Cappadocia (B/D)

    After breakfast at hotel, we will depart to visit this fantastic region, where San George was born, with its fascinating and original landscape which was formed 3 million years ago by lava from the nearby volcanic mountains of Erciyes and Hasan. Visit the Underground City built by Christian communities to protect themselves from Arab attacks. We will stop at a carpet and kilims workshop.  In the afternoon, we will continue visiting the numerous monasteries and chapels of Göreme, carved into the rocks and decorated with frescoes. We will also see the valley of Güvercinlik (of the dove cotes) and enjoy the impressive view of the Uchisar Castle, located on top of a volcanic rock promontory pierced by tunnels and windows. We will also stop at an artisanal workshop of typical stones and jewelry of Cappadocia.

    Day 6: Cappadocia - Pamukkale (B/D)

    After early breakfast, departure to Pamukkale.  On the way, we will visit the Seljukian Caravanserai, a historical inn of “Sultanhani” located on the legendary Silk Road, and which served as a stopping place for trade, pilgrimage or military caravans. Continue to Pamukkale, or “Cotton Castle” a spectacular geological phenomenon famous for its petrified white travertine pools formed by lime contained in the water of the thermal springs that emanate in the area. Dinner at hotel and overnight.

    Day 7: Pamukkale – Ephesos – Kusadasi (B/D)

    Breakfast at the hotel, then depart to visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, founded around 190 BC. by the king of Pergamum prospering greatly during the Roman era, which was built in the upper part of the pools with a beautiful theater and great necropolis of various types of burials. We will continue driving to Ephesus, the best-preserved classical city of Turkey with its ruins dating 1000 BC (the remains we see today are from the fourth century BC and onwards) where we will highlight: the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian and its great ancient theater. We will visit the House of the Virgin Mary, a prominent place of pilgrimage. At the end of our day, we will visit a leather factory where you can enjoy the catwalk and shop for good quality Turkish leather.

    Day 8: Kusadasi – Departure (B)

    Enjoy free time until your transfer to Izmir airport for your homebound flight.
