Day 1        Paris
Arrival to Paris Airport, transfer to hotel by airport shuttle bus.  Overnight in Paris.
Accommodation:  Choice of 3*/4*/5* Hotel

Day 2        Paris (B/L)
After breakfast, discover the City of Light by air-conditioned coach with information about its history and greatest monuments, squares, bridges and thoroughfares.  Take in all the iconic sights Paris’s heritage has to offer with this itinerary: Place Vendome Square – Opera House – Louvre Museum – Notre Dame Cathedral – Pantheon – Luxembourg Palace and Gardens – Orsay Museum – Place de la Concorde Square – Champs-Elysees – Arc de Triomphe Paris – Eiffel Tower – Invalides.  Step aboard at the Eiffel Tower as the crew welcomes you for an hour-long cruise along the Seine. The fully-glassed boat with a rear terrace will give you the opportunity to enjoy the cruise in Winter and Summer. Admire the exquisite architecture of the heart of Paris’ most prestigious monuments along the banks of the Seine.  Disembark from the cruise, and enjoy a delicious 2 courses lunch at the Eiffel Tower.  Tour finish at the Eiffel tower where you may further explore at your leisure.

Day 3        Paris – Provence (B)
Today, start early to admire the various landscapes of Burgundy and Rhone Valley. After covering 700 km (440 miles), arrive at Avignon to first visit the Popes’ Palace and enjoy some free time to stroll along the cnetre and have lunch at your leisure.  Continue with your guide, drive on to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence for a photo stop.  Then enjoy a guided visit of the typical perched village “Les Baux de Provence”.  Free time will be given for shopping of local products (perfumes, lavender, Provençal fabrics).   Continue with a guided visit of the famous Roman “Pont du Gard”, an ancient Roman aqueduct that crosses the Gardon River in southern France.  Transfer back to Avignon station to catch the evening train back to Paris.

Day 4         Paris (B)
Enjoy the morning at leisure.  In the afternoon, discover Louis XIV kingdom on a guided tour with priority access to the palace with its numerous and famous rooms.  Cross the western districts of the city before taking the motorway Paris Versailles.  The tour starts with a guided visit of the Royal State Apartments and the Hall of Mirrors. Let yourself be transported to the lofty atmosphere of the Versailles palace and its famous French gardens.  The guided tour of the palace is completed by a tour of the Versailles gardens with your guide for a visit of the spectacular fountains, through the groves and fountains with the water gushing out of the rhythm of baroque music. The fountain show is accompanied by Baroque style music which was particularly popular at the Versailles court.

Day 5        Paris – Loire Valley (B)
Set off from central Paris in early morning for a special day touring the Loire Valley.  Relax on a luxury air-conditioned coach as you take in the beautiful French countryside before arriving at Chateau de Chambord. Chambord is one of the largest chateaux in the Loire Valley, nestled in the middle of a huge hunting ground. It was built for King Francis I of France in the 16th century with the help of none other than Leonardo da Vinci. Chenonceau, also known as the ‘The ladies’ castle’, was built during the 16th Century and has been home to many well-known aristocratic French ladies, such as Diane de Poitiers, Catherine de Medici and the White Queen, Louise de Lorraine.  Its fairytale architecture bears witness to a sophisticated and typically French style of living, with elegantly furnished floral rooms, tapestries, antique paintings and fascinating kitchens housed in the piers of the bridge that supports the chateau. The final chateau of the day, Cheverny, is a stately home decorated with beautiful furnishings dating from the 17th century, with remarkably well-preserved interiors.

Day 6 – 7         Paris (B)
Enjoy two days at leisure for some great shopping opportunity, or join an optional tour.

Day 8         Paris – Canada (B)
Breakfast at hotel.  Enjoy free time until shuttle transfer to airport for homebound flight.

Morning or Afternoon Giverny Tour (5 Hours)
Set off from Central Paris for a unique excursion in the footsteps of the Impressionist painter Claude Monet. Admire the lush green landscapes of the French countryside as you travel by luxury air-conditioned coach to the small Normandy village of Giverny. Take the opportunity to explore Monet’s pink-plastered house, where he lived and worked for many years. Discover the blue reading room, which leads into the larder and Claude Monet’s studio, where the doyen of the french impressionists worked until 1889. At the end of your visit, take advantage of the village and the pretty gift and book shop; it is housed in what was once the studio where Monet painted the huge Water Lilies canvases. The shop offers a wide range of products linked to the Impressionist’s work: postcards, posters, teas, books, official Claude Monet tableware, flower seeds and plants.

Bruges – The Venice of the North (14 Hours)
Full day trip from Paris to the Belgian town of Bruges, also known as the “Venice of the North”, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. Surrounded by a network of canals, the historic center of Bruges has retained its medieval charm and is home to plenty of architectural and historic gems.  Begin with a guided walking tour of the Gothic brickwork architecture of the medieval center. During your walk, you will take in the sights of the stunning Grand Place Square, the Market Hall with its bell tower, the 13th-Century Notre Dame Cathedral, the Benedictine convent (Le Beguinage), and the majestic Town Hall. In Summer (April to October), take to the water for a short cruise along the town’s canals to admire its wonderful Flemish mansions and immerse yourself in Bruges’s peaceful and mystical atmosphere. Enjoy the town at your own pace with lunch in a local restaurant. Sample the region’s specialties (mussels and fries, traditional Flemish sweet and sour beef stew, waffles, etc.), visit some of the many museums, learn about Flemish art and local craftsmanship, or taste some delicious Belgian chocolates. Return to Paris in the evening.
