Pick up from the hotel for an unforgettable journey through Sydney’s most iconic landmarks. From there, the journey continues through the bustling Central Business District (CBD) and along Macquarie Street, showcasing Sydney’s 18th-century sandstone architecture. Highlights include the NSW Parliament House, Rum Hospital, Hyde Park Barracks, and St. Mary’s Cathedral. Next, the tour proceeds to Mrs. Macquarie’s Point, offering stunning views of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. The final stop of the day is Darling Harbour, where passengers joining a lunch cruise may board (depending on the cruise provider). Some cruises depart from Circular Quay. After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Cairns. Enjoy a fascinating guided tour as the charming world of the Hobbits is explored. Travel south from Auckland, crossing the Bombay Hills and into the lush farmlands of the Waikato Region. The journey takes through rolling green hills, a beautiful reminder that the beloved Hobbiton Shire is approaching. Upon arrival at Shire’s Rest, begin the Hobbiton movie set tour, the largest “green set” in the world and the only part of the set remaining in New Zealand. Explore 44 iconic hobbit holes, the picturesque Mill, the double-arch bridge, and the famous Party Tree. Stop for a photo at the gate of Bilbo’s house, Bag End, with stunning views over the set and hills in the distance.
