    Mexico City - Arrival

    Arrive in Mexico City, meet with our local representatives, and transfer to the hotel. After check-in, enjoy free time to relax. Later in the afternoon, expect to be contacted by the guide or via the hotel reception panels for more information.

    Mexico City (B/D)

    Today, explore Mexico City on a sightseeing tour. Visit the Plaza of Three Cultures and the historic center, where highlights include the Zócalo (main square), Metropolitan Cathedral, and the Aztec temple. Continue to Chapultepec Park and Paseo de la Reforma Avenue. Next, visit the Basilica of Guadalupe, a key Catholic pilgrimage site, with stops at both the 18th-century basilica and the modern temple. In the afternoon, head to Xochimilco for a ride on a flower-decorated “trajinera” boat through its canals and floating gardens. In the evening, explore Plaza Garibaldi, where tacos, tequila, and Mariachi music await, followed by dinner at a traditional restaurant.

    Mexico City – Patzcuaro (B)

    The journey begins with a visit to El Oro de Hidalgo, a Pueblo Mágico once known for its gold and silver mining. The town features European-style buildings, including the old train station and Teatro Juárez. Continue through forested hills, home to the migrating monarch butterflies, to Mina de las Dos Estrellas. This former mine is now a museum that highlights the area’s mining history. Next, head to Tlalpujahua, another Pueblo Mágico in Michoacán, known for its Baroque sanctuary, cobblestone streets, and handcrafted Christmas decorations, with Santa Claus visible in many shops. After some free time for a stroll and lunch, proceed to Pátzcuaro, a colonial town with pre-Hispanic roots, famous for its beautiful architecture, artisan markets, and vibrant atmosphere.

    Patzcuaro – Morelia – Guadalajara (B)

    The day begins with a visit to Morelia, Michoacán’s capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its stunning pink stone architecture and historic center. Highlights include the Cathedral, Plaza de Armas, and the university founded in 1540. After free time to explore and enjoy lunch, continue to Cuitzeo del Porvenir, located near Mexico’s second-largest lake. Visit the Ex-Convent of Santa María Magdalena, a 16th-century Plateresque masterpiece, and stroll through the charming cobblestone streets. The day concludes with a journey to Guadalajara, Jalisco’s vibrant capital and birthplace of Mariachi music and Tequila, arriving in the evening.

    The morning begins with a tour of Guadalajara, a city that seamlessly blends modernity with colonial charm. Key highlights include the Cathedral, market, Tapatía Square, and a visit to the Cabañas Hospice, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Afterwards, travel to Tequila to visit the Mundo Cuervo distillery and learn about the production of this iconic Mexican drink, with entrance and a tasting included. Enjoy free time in the picturesque town of Tequila for lunch and exploration. The day concludes with a return to Guadalajara.

    Guadalajara - Guanajuato (B)

    The journey begins with a drive to Guanajuato, arriving in the afternoon for a city tour of this stunning university town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore its steep slopes, narrow streets, and beautiful churches, all while taking in the charm of its historic center. The tour also includes a cable car ride to “El Pípila,” offering breathtaking views of the city.

    Guanajuato – Dolores Hidalgo – San Miguel Allende – Queretaro (B)

    Journey through the mountains to Dolores Hidalgo, the birthplace of Mexican independence. Continue to San Miguel de Allende, a picturesque city known for its stunning vice regal architecture and cobblestone streets, also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy free time to stroll through its charming streets. In the afternoon, visit the Atotonilco Sanctuary, known as the “Century of God and the Patria,” another UNESCO World Heritage site (note that visits inside may not always be possible due to retreats held there). The day ends in Querétaro, a beautiful colonial city famous for its central square, vibrant restaurants, and pedestrian-friendly streets.

    Queretaro – Mexico City (B)

    Begin the day with a visit to Tula, the ancient capital of the Toltecs, and explore its archaeological site. Highlights include the Atlantean figures, impressive four-meter-tall warrior statues along with pyramids, palaces, and carved columns that reflect the advanced culture of this pre-Hispanic civilization. Afterwards, continue to Puebla, a city renowned for its culinary traditions, colonial architecture, and ceramics. Notable sites include the Renaissance-style cathedral and the lively main square. Visit Val’Quirico, a unique area with European-inspired architecture reminiscent of Tuscany, where medieval-style buildings offer a step back in time. The day ends with a return to Mexico City.
