Arrive in Kanazawa, transfer to the hotel and check in for the stay. The rest of the day is at leisure.

After breakfast, meet at Kanazawa station to join a tour to visit Shirakawago and the Wada Residence, a traditional thatch-roofed house. These distinctive ‘Gassho-zukuri’ style homes are registered as a World Heritage site, offering a fascinating insight into the village’s culture and history. Then visit the Kusakabe Heritage House, a historical Japanese-style townhouse showcasing exquisite folk art and traditional handicrafts. Continue the tour to Kami-Sannomachi, a well-preserved merchant district in Takayama. The old streets here, which developed during the Edo period, provide a charming glimpse into the town’s past. After the tour, travel back to Kanazawa by local train and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.
