Day 1 (Mon): Arrive Hanoi
Arrive at Hanoi Airport, meet your local representative and transfer to hotel.

Day 2 (Tue): Hanoi (B)
After breakfast, the day starts with visit to the complex dedicated to Ho Chi Minh- the nation’s founder, containing Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (viewed from outside on Mondays, Fridays and every afternoons due to closure), and the house on stilts, One Pillar Pagoda. Next up, visit Tran Quoc Pagoda – Hanoi’s oldest pagoda on the bank of West Lake, and Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university which was constructed in 11th century. Back to your hotel and enjoy fee time for lunch on your own. In the afternoon, take a cyclo ride around the Old Quarter streets which were named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. Stop at Hoan Kiem Lake to learn about legend of the lake and visit Ngoc Son Temple, followed by the Water Puppet show – a uniquely Northern Vietnamese art form depicting scenes from rural life and episodes of national history. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3 (Wed): Hanoi – Halong (B/L/D)
After breakfast, meet by driver and travel by road to Ha Long Bay, a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. Travel through the rich farmlands of the Delta of Red River and the landscape of rice fields, water buffalo; see the daily life of the Vietnamese village. Arrive in Halong and board a traditional junk. Lunch on board. The cruise passes by many rocks and islets in many funny shapes. The cruise may stop for a while for visiting the Cave. Later on the junk, move to docking area for overnight. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 4 (Thu): Halong – Hanoi – Hoi An (B)
In the morning, your brunch will be served while further sailing to explore the beauties of the Bay before returning to the wharf. The junk continues cruising toward Ha Long port. After disembark from the cruise, meet by representative and transfer to Hanoi airport for a flight to Danang. On arrival, you will be met by our guide and proceed toHoi An. Check in your hotel and overnight in Hoi An.

Day 5 (Fri): Hoi An (B)
After breakfast, join a guided walk around tiny town of Hoi An with the stops at a 400 year old Japanese Bridge, a 300 year old Chinese temple, and a 200 year old Vietnamese former merchants’ house. Afternoon is free at leisure.
Day 6 (Sat): Hoi An – Hue (B)
After breakfast, morning at leisure. In the afternoon, travel along one of Vietnams most scenic highways to Hue. Stop on the way at white sand of Lang Co Beach and the top of Hai Van Pass. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for check in. Overnight in Hue.

Day 7 (Sun): Hue (B)
After breakfast, visit the impressive home of the Nguyen Dynasty emperors (1820-1945), the Imperial City and the Royal Citadel. Continue by boat on Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue’s oldest and most beautiful pagoda, thought to be the symbol or religion and spirit of Hue people. In the afternoon visit tomb of King Minh Mang followed by a visit to the tomb of King Khai Dinh.
Day 8 (Mon): Hue – Ho Chi Minh City (B)
Breakfast at your hotel, then transfer to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, meet by representative and begin visit to the moving War Remnants Museum which presents a partial, but riveting, view of the American War, as it is known in Vietnam. Continue to the Reunification Palace, former residence of the Indochina Governor General and later President of the Republic of Southern Vietnam until the fall of Saigon in April 30, 1975. The tour finishes with Notre Dame Cathedral and the bustling Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 9 (Tue): Ho Chi Minh City (B)
Enjoy a day at leisure.
Day 10 (Wed): Ho Chi Minh City – Luang Prabang (B)
After breakfast, enjoy leisure time until your transfer to the airport for flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, meet by representative and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 11 (Thu): Luang Prabang (B/L)
For early risers, there is a very special dawn visit to watch the monks collecting the alms. As the sun begins to rise, long lines of orange-robed monks leave their pagodas and walk barefoot down the streets collecting offerings from residents. It is a beautiful, serene ceremony that highlights the spiritualism of the Laos people. Return to your hotel for breakfast. After breakfast at hotel, drive outside of Luang Prabang to the elephant camp on the banks of the Nam Khan River. There, you will learn about and ride Asian elephants in the magnificent Nam Khan River Valley. Then enjoy a short boat ride to the Tad Sae Waterfall (seasonal) for swimming in the refreshing waters and exploring the surrounding jungle. Enjoy lunch at the waterfall before return by boat to the elephant camp and return by vehicle to Luang Prabang city. In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour including visit to the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. Continue with the impressive stupa of Wat Mai and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple. Then you will climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River.
Day 12 (Fri): Luang Prabang (B)
In the morning, drive through the Luang Prabang countryside to Kuang Si Waterfalls. Along the way by the Mekong River, you will see gorgeous landscapes of many rice fields, hills and villages. Visit an ethnic minority at a village where their local culture has remained unchanged for centuries. Upon reaching Kuang Si Waterfalls, relax and enjoy the magnificent natural surroundings. Return to Luang Prabang after the morning tour and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 13 (Sat): Luang Prabang -Departure (B)
After breakfast, transfer from hotel to airport for your return flight to Canada via Bangkok.
